| The
second volume of War Speeches, containing speeches Churchill
made in 1941, had its first
edition in 1942. THE UNRELENTING STRUGGLE
follows the series binding in pale blue cloth, with
a similar dustwrapper of brown blending to black. There
were
4 printings altogether and this title is
proving the most difficult of the 7 to find in first
edition.
The US
edition now had a new publisher- Little Brown
& Co., Boston resulting in a new appearance- red
cloth with titles gilt on black panels, wrapped in a
red/black photo dj.The
Canadian first edition
retained the same published, but now had a look very
close to the American edition. For the first time, there
was a 1st
Australian edition, published by Cassell,
with a unique and striking jacket design, but a drab
oatmeal cloth binding. This volume alone of the 7 speeches
volumes also had an English
language edition published in Stockhom by
the Continental Book Co., with a unique two tone brown
binding, and a jacket very similar to the English first
edition.
