The first collected edition of the War Speeches, the first edition published as a paperback only in 1946, never reprinted. It is believed that most copies were exported. 5.5 x 8.5 inches in pale blue paper wraps with turn in flaps like a dj over plain paper covers, 271 pages, on cheap pulpy paper which is usually browned. If you are just trying to read all of Churchill's works, you can skip this one. But for collectors, this is an elusive prize.

This book was also published in the same format in Danish and Dutch, and in fact the Dutch edition preceeds the English so is the true first edition. Contact me if you are interested in obtaining these foreign language editions.
