| The
second volume in the Post War Speeches series was EUROPE
UNITE, an idea which Churchill worked diligently towards.
The Cassell
first edition came out in 1950. 12,500 copies
make this the most plentiful of the series. The actual
printing was done in Holland, and the higher quality
white paper was far superior to that available in still
rationed England. Binding was now medium green, gilt
stamped, with the series black jacket. The green cloth
unfortunately is prone to splotches of discoloration
from condensation. Interest in America was waning, so
the US
edition was only 2500 copies, bound in blue
green cloth stamped in dark green and black, apparently
using sheets from the English edition. Although not
the lowest production, this is probably the most difficult
to find of the US post war volumes.
