Today's collectors have a wide choice of reference books on variois
aspects of Churchill collecting, either books or Churchilliana.
We try to maintain stock of all of these, including the out of print
titles. For those interested in books by Churchill, Langworth's
book is the obvious first choice. Collectors or readers of books
about Churchill at long last have a superb up-to-date reference

This book is an absolute must for all Churchill book collectors.
Written by the real founder of the International Churchill
Societies, Richard Langworth, A CONNOISSEUR’S GUIDE
TO THE BOOKS OF SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL, is simply the best
such book ever published. It does not purport to be a bibliography
as the Woods one, but rather, it is a real guide for collectors.
If you hold a book by Churchill in your hand, this guide can
tell you what edition it is, how desireable, and what it’s
worth. It describes dustwrappers, reprints, foreign editions,
even pirate copies. Illustrated with hundreds of photos of
the best examples we could find of scarce editions. Each title
includes details on how the book was received when first published.
Tips for identifying first editions prevent you from overpaying
for anything other than the real thing. The author also makes
recommendations on the most desireable edition of each title.
First published June 1998 by Brassey’s
( now part of Batsfords) at £40.00, the second edition
from 2000 includes hundreds of minor corrections. A hardbound
book about 6.5 x 9.5 inches, with 375 + xiii pages. The normal
trade edition is bound in dark red cloth and comes in a full
colour dustwrapper illustrated with some of the most gorgeous
Churchill books you will see. This book is now out of print,
but we still have a few copies in stock. get yours now. $60.00
