Cassell, London, 1946, hardcover. The first collected edition of the War Speeches, published as a paperback only in 1946. It is believed that most copies were exported. 5.5 x 8.5 inches in pale blue paper wraps with turn in flaps like a dj over plain paper covers, 271 pages, on cheap pulpy paper which is usually browned. This copy has a clean bright cover with some tiny edge chips along its top edge. the cover is partly detached along the joint. Spine worn but all still there. paper browned as usual. rectangular stamp on half title page. contents tight and edges even. (ICS A113). Item #16899
