One of many reprintings of this large tome of contributed articles, sold to raise money for the Royal British Legion. 234 pages, 9 x 11.5 inches, maroon cloth, deckle edges. Contributors include P.G. Wodehouse, John Galsworthy, Hugh Walpole, Hilaire Belloc, Edgar Wallace, Aldous Huxley, G K Chesterton, and Rudyard Kipling. Includes a short essay on Earl Haig by Churchill. Woods B12(b), Cohen B38.2. This 5th printing has a deeper richer burgundy cloth than first printings and is likely the prettiest copy I have seen. Gilt bright, exceptionally clean white paper, some faint condensation marks towards outer edge of front cover, no names or markings. Item #22443
