This is the first state with one appendix and an index. . 152 pages, 6 x 8.75 inches, printed on pulpy acidic paper which is always browned as a result. Wraps are chrome yellow printed green and black This is the third scarcest of Churchill’s first editions, after the two great rarities. The front wrap is nearly detached and has several pieces gone or rubbed. The half title page is grubby, the remaining contents browned as usual but not crumbling. the rear wrap has some triangular losses at the corners. (ICS A16aa). Item #23731
