Cassell, London, 1946, hardcover. The first collected edition of the War Speeches, published as a paperback only in 1946. It is believed that most copies were exported. 5.5 x 8.5 inches in pale blue paper wraps with turn in flaps like a dj over plain paper covers, 271 pages, on cheap pulpy paper which is usually browned. Front cover all there but unevenly sunned, and it is also partly detached along the lower part of its joint. The first few leaves including the title page have stamps indicating book is property of a book club (Regem???). (ICS A113). Item #24527
