Numerous maps and plans, some folding and coloured. The only illustrations are 8 photos of key personalities in the final volume. Large attractive books, 6 x 9 inches, this first English edition is much preferred over the American. A worn, used set. All are correct firsts, vols 3,4,5,6 are ex-Boots Library copies. All show wear at spine ends, vol 5 has the usual bubbling of the cloth, all have good clear gilt tiles. Vols 3,4,6 have some spotting on page edges, vol. 2 has an owner name. Far from fine, but a good spine appearance will fill a hole on your shelf at a good price. (A31ab). Item #26840
