A lovely production- heavy navy buckram, spines decorated with gilt boxes and a red leather panel with gilt titles, top edges stained deep blue. Printed on high quality paper, two colour title pages, and fully illustrated, unlike the trade editions. This set ages well and has superb shelf appearance. A superior set with very bright gilt on undamaged red panels. Page tops a rich dark blue, a total of 3 brown spots on otherwise white and even foredges, some ribbing on covers. (A138d). Item #28777
