Heinemann, London, This is the first volume of The war papers which are the companion document volumes to accompany the Official Biography. Although not so titled, this is effectively the first part of the Companion to volume VI. xx + 1370 pages, maps, detailed index. An important reference, now out of print. At the launch of this book in London, I was told by the Heinemann rep that only 300 copies were made for the UK market, expaining why this is much scarcer than the US edition. Book very crisp, seems unread. There is a single library stamp on the copyright page. Dustjacket is clean, unworn, very slight sunning to spine area. (bio). Item #32768
