Bound in mustard yellow cloth with gilt titles on spine only. There are 22 maps, many folding and some in two colours. 381 pages, index, appendices. For those wanting a hardbound copy to read, the choice is between these 1949 or 51 printings. Book has clean covers, gilt dull as usual, no nmaes, spots on page edges and endpapers.
