It publishes speeches originally made from 1938 through the end of 1940, and so includes some of the best known such as Blood Toil, Tears, Sweat, This was Their Finest Hour, so much owed by so many to so few. and lots more. A total of 47 speeches. 313 pages. Bound in medium blue cloth as series. There were a total of 12 printings, but this copy is the true first. A clean crisp copy in bright attractive dustwrapper. Book has exceptionally white paper is is wholly free of spots. There is a Book Society bookplate on the front pastedown. Covers very clean,m gilt bright, lower corners dented. Dustjacket is correct first, unclipped, looks fine from 5 feet, but there is a torn piece at top of spine. The red shade of the spine is far superior to most but still not 100% of the red on front cover. (A66a). Item #35164
