Bound in coarse red cloth with gilt titles on spine and on cover enclosed by gilt ruled boxes. 496 pages, 3 folding maps, 5 other maps and plans. Top edges gilt. Only 3000 copies published, so far scarcer than English firsts. Book is clean, binding tight, spine slightly dull but gilt titles clear. Prior owner decorative bookplate on pastedown.
