This edition, intended for sale in India and the Colonies, used the same printing plates as the first home issue, so has all the same errors. It is bound in pictorial grey cloth. Latest estimates are that about 1100 of these were issued clothbound . The survival rate is low and most are in poor condition from the tropical climates in which they were sold. 336 pages, 6 maps, no catalogues at rear. Decorated cloth cover clean and readable, wear at corners and spine ends. Spine is toned and the gilt is very dull. Front endpaper appears to have been replaced . Contents tight and clean, foxing observed only at the folding map. Not perfect, but far better than most. (A1ab). Item #50026
