The Loss of Singapore, 568 pp, 27 appendices, 37 maps and sketches many folding and coloured, 26 photos; Vol II. India's Most Dangerous Hour, 541 pp, 33 appendices, 15 maps, 20 sketches, 35 photos; Vol III. he Decisive Battles, 559 pp, 30 appendices, 15 maps, 20 sketches, 57 photos; Vol. IV. The Reconquest of Burma, 568 pp, 27 appendices, 13 maps, 21 sketches, 92 photos; Vol V. The Surrender of Japan, 600 pp, 32 appendices, 16 maps, 17 sketches, 35 photos. This massive set has become a highly sought reference. Vol V in particular is in short supply and is often needed to complete sets. Condition: Vols I, II, III are crisp unworn copies with tanned dustwrappers. each volume has a small circular library stamp on each endpaper, and copyright page. The original green cloth bindings are unmarked. The dustwrappers have a 4 digit number on the spines. Vols IV-V are fine crisp unmarked copies in bright dustwrappers. Vol. I includes both the 1961 corrections with a new page 386 and a new A[ppendix 21, and also the 1968 corrections sheet. Vol. IV includes the corrections sheet. Vols II-III-IV include the maps in pockets at the rear of each volume. These are 50 year old HMSO originals, not the modern reprints. Item #M1270
